Sow pumpkins, courgettes, beans and peas

Quensland Blue Pumpkin
So the last big sowing push is on, and it's the turn of climbing beans, dwarf french beans, courgettes, cucumbers, pumpkins, sweetcorn, squashes and peas.

Most peas you can sow directly outside in the bed but the rest will not like frosty nights and need warm temperatures to germinate and grow.

Sow them indoors and keep them on a warm window or on a propagator until they germinate. After that keep them out of the frost but give them lots of daylight and food to fatten them up for the great outdoors. All of these seeds are big, making big seedlings so sow them in pots, rather than seed trays. This is what the lads were doing in Jacks today.

If you want to use the moon calendar the next fruit days (as we eat the fruiting part of all these plants they are classified as "fruit" on the moon calendar) are Today, tomorrow from midday, and Friday until 7pm.
