Hi lads!
found this fascinating post on another blog about small scale backyard gardening in Russia feeding the majority of the population.Check it out here Russian Organic Farming.
Marie Thanks for your blog I really enjoyed all your articles during the year. I found them informative, interesting, and entertaining. Many a chuckle I had. Wishing you and your family and friends a very Happy Peaceful Christmas. Thanks again John
Hi John belated happy christmas and a very happy new year to you! Hope this is a better gardening and bee year John, your man in NZ seems to think so anyway!!!
Hi Marie, I followed your link and found it a very interesting article.I think the Russians discovered if people own their own piece of land however small they will grow their own food on it.Hopefully it will become a reality here too, if the powers that be divided all the land banks that were bought up for 'developement' and now in NAMA were redistributed to those who want to grow their own.Allotments are expensive in this country whether they are privately or publicly owned. The top comment is Spam, I removed word verification from my blog for a while but had to relent due to spam such as this sometimes up to 50 'posts' a day! Wishing you and yours a very happy Christmas and New year
Hi Peggy happy new year! yes the spam is getting very annoying and I think I will have to do as you did.We can only hope about the land redustribution, I was talking about it with a friend on new years eve as we spoke of a neighbour living alone who needs gardening help. I was telling her about the UK land-share idea. Hopefully we have enough momentum now to get the whole country growing!
